This issue is simply caused by Chrome’s new Beta feature called “Use lookalike URL suggestions for navigation suggestions”. This feature is helps filter out sites with URLs that look very similar to the domain of an authoritative or popular site.

When you see the “fake site” error, please click the “Ignore” button to continue access or you could take steps below to disabled the feature:

  • Copy URL below and paste in Chrome address bar and hit enter

chrome://flags/#enable-lookalike-url-navigation-suggestions

  • Use the search box on top to search “lookalike”.

  • Find the option called “Use lookalike URL suggestions for navigation suggestions” and select Disabled from the drop-down box.

  • Click on "Relaunch" button to restart Chrome.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Library if you require further assistance.
