CRSP® data accessed through WRDS is licensed strictly for internal use. This means it can only be used by SIT faculty, students, and staff for research and analysis purposes (e.g., studying stock trends, preparing reports).
The data cannot be shared outside the institution, used to build commercial products or services, or used for consulting or other for‑profit activities.
“Internal use” does not include use by affiliated organizations, joint ventures, or private projects of employees.
Prohibited Uses
Transfer, sell, publish, redistribute or release or make available the CRSP data to non SIT user without written permission from CRSP.
Commercially exploit, reverse engineer, or decompile the CRSP Data.
Continue to use CRSP data if the subscription is terminated.
