SIT has a current contract with Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP) which allows SIT to enjoy a 42% discount on HBSP current academic list prices for HBSP catalog materials (www.hbsp.harvard.edu), excluding a) Materials in hard copy format b) EBooks, and, c) Third Party eLearning simulations, including but not limited to Cesim, Marketplace and Moblabs, which are subject to academic pricing as displayed to Premium Educators on HBSP website.  

 

Academic Staff who wishes to use Harvard Business School (HBS) cases in his/her class teaching, please contact HBS representative via email (denise.lau@hbsp.harvard.edu). HBS representative will create an individual account for Academic Staff/appointed administrators to acquire the cases, using their respective program budget. A maximum of 5 accounts can be created. 

 

Faculty shall inform students to comply with the following terms when a HBS case is distributed to students:

  • No alteration of content. Except for pagination footers, the presentation of Harvard Business School Publishing(HBSP) content cannot be altered or covered in any way without express consent from HBSP.
  • Personal use only. Students may retain files they have downloaded during the course period but may not copy, share or forward such files for unauthorized users or others who have not purchased the file(s).
  • Students are not allowed to use the materials in their classes after 6 months.
  • Students shall comply with the rules for the use of Harvard Business Publishing Names, Trademarks, and Logos: https://libhelp.singaporetech.edu.sg/faq/272034  

 

Faculty shall also comply with the following terms: 

  • Only watermarked and locked (no copy/edit) files may be posted for student use. 
  • Make the links to HBSP content on Learning Management System accessible to the students currently enrolled in that course and faculty and staff involved in the teaching and administration of that course.  
  • The cases are procured from HSBP each time for a course or program. No files may be retained for use at SIT over time.
